Lantox 200 U is a botulinum toxin type A product in a higher dosage. It temporarily relaxes muscles, smoothing expression lines, and is suited to treating large areas: full-face correction in a single session, the masseter muscles, and treatment of hyperhidrosis. The effect appears a few days after the procedure and typically lasts 3–6 months.
How it works
Botulinum toxin type A blocks the transmission of nerve impulses to the muscle. The muscle relaxes, so the expression lines above it are smoothed out, and in hyperhidrosis the activity of the sweat glands is reduced. Over time, neuromuscular transmission is restored and the effect gradually wears off.
Indications
- Expression lines of the forehead, glabella and eye area
- Comprehensive correction of the upper and lower thirds of the face
- Masseter hypertrophy (facial contour correction)
- Platysmal bands on the neck
- Hyperhidrosis of the underarms, palms and feet
How to use
Prescription-only medicine. To be administered only by a physician trained in botulinum toxin therapy, in a clinical setting. Reconstitution, dosage and injection points are determined individually by the physician.
Contraindications
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Age under 18
- Allergy to any of the product's components
- Neuromuscular disorders (myasthenia gravis, Lambert–Eaton syndrome, etc.)
- Blood clotting disorders
- Inflammation and infections in the treatment area
- Use of certain antibiotics (aminoglycosides)
Storage
Store in a refrigerator at +2 to +8 °C. Use the reconstituted solution in accordance with the instructions for use.
